Weigh Time.

Apollo

It was weigh time again which I do every month.  First up was Apollo & he is slowly getting more comfortable about sitting on the scales.  He had a full Mot too & all is well.

Daisy looking so cute.

For bunnies like Daisy the weigh in is particularly useful. As she is quite the old lady, losing weight can be one of the first signs all is not well. Overall her weight over the last 6 months has reduced but not by huge drops in weight.  Her weight loss has been gradual & the last couple of weigh ins has shown her weight has now stabilised. I am watching her closely as there are a couple of other things going on but for now the current gradual weight loss is something I have seen many times as my bunnies have aged.

Old man Toffee.

Toffee is the oldest bunny in the shed at 10 years & just like Daisy he has also had that gradual weight loss but quite some time back now. His weight has been stable for a while now & though he is almost skin & bone, he is doing incredibly well.

Poppy

Now Poppy is on the weighty side & it’s very tricky to restrict her food without Toffee suffering & that is something he can’t afford to do. After speaking to the vet a while back, her weight is acceptable but she mustn’t gain.

The other bunnies are all stable with their weight & all the Mot’s went well.  What didn’t go so well was trying to take photos of them, so no photos of the 4 naughty bunnies who just gave me a load of blurry pictures!

I would just like to say it is worth weighing your bunnies every month to keep yourself up to date & it really does give an insight into how they are healthwise.
