Since July the bunnies started their moult and as usual as the weeks go by more bunnies started to shed their summer coat. Some faired better than others but unusually everyone did have a bad moult. There has literally been a layer of fur across the bunny shed floor and as soon as you clean it up within hours its back to square one. These last few weeks I have never had so much fur about and done so much combing.

Bob had a very bad moult this time. His fur tends to come out in little matts so does get a bit of skin pulling when grooming although I do my best to prevent it.

Bob just kept moulting and moulting over several weeks so he ended up being groomed a lot and the fur piles just got bigger.

It is very unusual to have to groom these two, Molly was relatively quick to comb and a lot of fine fur came off her. Peanut on the other hand had a lot of fur to come off.

Fortunately, his moult was starting to calm down but I still got a reasonable amount off him.

In the photo above you can see Thumper was starting just around the shoulders. Tons of fur came off him over the weeks.

I am glad to say that most of them have now reached the end of the moult or are at least coming to the end of it. Thank goodness. All you can do is keep combing.
