Toastie Tilly!

Tilly settling down her in her warm bed.

In the last 12 months Tilly has been getting a little stiff on her back legs. The vet thinks it’s probably arthritis.  In Autumn I noticed she was struggling even more so she had to go on painkillers which she now loves!  She is on a relatively high dose of painkillers so when she began to struggle a little as the cold hit I wasn’t keen on upping her painkillers anymore, but I had to sort something for her.  The answer was a heat mat. Tilly now has a heat mat permanently plugged in & it is tucked into some pillow cases.  This has worked a treat as she gets to stay nice & snug keeping her muscles relaxed & warm.

The heat mat wrapped in pillowcases to make it comfier & to protect the mat from any bunny naughtiness.
Tilly spends all her resting time on the mat.
Somebody else also gets to keep nice & snug too. You can just see Peanut at the back.
Tilly coming out for a nosey while having a little stretch.

The heat mat has worked better than I thought. Tilly always has a good stretch of her back legs when she comes off the heat mat & there is no sign of any wobbling or struggle to get going.  It’s great.  I am so relieved & Tilly is one happy snug girl.
