Daisy has followed in Thumper’s pawsteps & is having the most horrendous moult, far worse than Thumper. The photo above was when it was all starting, as she was being weighed it was a good chance to groom her. The amount I got off her when she wasn’t looking too bad was quite surprising.

Thinking she should be good for a week I couldn’t believe how much she was trying to shed after only 3 days.

So another groom which she did not like. Daisy has always been a bunny who is never shy to use her teeth when she has had enough or doesn’t want to do something. Due to this she is the worst bunny in the shed to have such a bad moult but I had to persevere with her & watch out for that little grunt & teeth or a quick move with the the teeth ready.

Thing is she got worse.

Another groom ensued & she really wasn’t happy, resulting in the groom taking much longer. I did give her treats when she behaved & it did pacify her a little.

I must admit I was quite chuffed I got her as tidy as the above photo & felt it was worth the odd nip. But it didn’t last long & within a few days:

Another groom.

Well it didn’t last as yesterday was another groom & another pile of fur. I can only hope she feels better for it & realises I am just trying to help her. As in Thumper’s post, you cannot leave a bunny who is moulting this bad. Any large fur ingestion could cause gut stasis. You’ve just got to persevere & keep grooming & it can take weeks.
