Well it was that time again to check on everyone’s weights. As some of the bunnies get older it can become an anxious time seeing what weights they come in at but it is important that everyone’s weights are checked. A change in weight can alert you to the fact that maybe something isn’t quite right, therefore encouraging you to do further checks that could end up catching something early. As we all know, catching things early is better for everyone involved. First up was Daisy, & as per usual, she could do with losing a little weight.

Apollo was next & I am happy with his weight but he’s not happy being on the scales yet, hence his more flat position. A few more weigh ins & I am sure he’ll not bother.

Tilly is one of the bunnies I do get anxious about when it comes to her weight due to her drinking problem. I have posted before that she drinks a lot more than the other bunnies but all tests have come back ok. The other worry with that is that she had started to lose weight. These last few months her weight has been stable & there has been no change in anything else, so we’re good to keep monitoring.

Peanut is another bun who is slowly getting used to the scales & the maintenance routine. Fortunately, for him all is good.

Thumper is looking good & weight all good too.

Annie’s weight was all good but I did notice that her back left leg was slightly damp. This was another clue to add to the other things I have spotted with her.

It was a good opportunity to get an extra deseeding session in with Poppy whilst she was being weighed. All good although I would say she is at her max weight.

Toffee is another of my old buns that make weigh time anxious. He lost a reasonable amount of weight as he has got older. He checks out ok so it was a case of monitoring him & fortunately his weight has also stabilised. So no major worries this time – phew!
