Toffee & Poppy don’t have one of the big pens to play outdoors in. The reason being, Toffee & his previous missus weren’t meant to be staying, but you know how that goes. So Toffee & Poppy have a moveable (just about) 8ft x 4ft outdoor pen. This at the time of their arrival was the best solution & as always getting the number back down to six rabbits so everyone can have a large outdoor pen just never seems to happen.

In my vaccination post I mentioned I had two bunnies who had problems, Annie was one whose problem was revealed last week & the other was Toffee. At the vaccination I requested the vet check Toffee’s eyes, particularly as the left eye’s cataract is so thick, something I haven’t seen on previous bunnies who have had cataracts. Well it was that time again to check on everyone’s weights. As some of the bunnies get older it can become an anxious time seeing what weights they come in at but it is important that everyone’s weights are checked. A change in weight can alert you to the fact that maybe something isn’t quite right, therefore encouraging you to do further checks that could end up catching something early. As we all know, catching things early is better for everyone involved. First up was Daisy, & as per usual, she could do with losing a little weight.
