The moult has arrived in the bunny shed, well sort of. Annie & Thumper are the only two who are really going for it this year. Annie started a couple of weeks ago but hasn’t really needed combing. As you can see in the photo, the desk mat does a good job of collecting the loose fur. Thumper is the only bunny so far who has needed a good comb. Continue reading The Moult.

Last week was a week of heart attacks. Firstly, Toffee hurt his back leg, he was holding it up & not really using it. Immediately, I thought he’d broken it, heart attack time! Fortunately though, it is looking like he has badly sprained it. He is currently on painkillers for the next week possibly to be extended by another week. So far the painkillers are working & he is using it more & is now weight bearing a little on it. He is well in himself & is eating & drinking normally. Continue reading Heart Attacks!!!

Right all you bunny parents & potential parents, it’s time for a chat. My name is Tilly & I Continue reading Vaccination Time.

So it’s been two months since Annie & Teddy came off their antibiotics. It was extremely nerve wrecking as we waited to see if the abscesses returned. So far, touchwood, neither abscess has returned, which feels like a miracle given they only had a slim chance of survival at the beginning of the diagnosis.

I think I have said in a previous post that Toffee’s coat is the most interesting to watch during his moults. His colours are so varied ranging from chocolate brown right the way through to a stark blond & ginger. You can see from the photo above how he goes from the dark chocolate brown, from his eye, through to the much paler brown starting on his back with a few ginger bits on his shoulder. Every year is different & this year is no exception, this time he’s gone for the Panda eye look! Continue reading Panda Eyes!

Annie saw the vet on Weds for a recheck of her abscess. At the moment, Annie has a very Continue reading The Abscess Duo!
